#MilkPod Ep 8 – Brand Activation at the Italian Market Festival!
This past weekend Team Milk Street was on location at the Italian Market Festival. As a sponsor of the event, we wanted to be on-hand the entire weekend to talk to people, network, and enjoy the tremendous amount of amazing food, drink and music. We also had another motive for attending the event from beginning to end – the brand activation of Junto Music.
The Italian Market Festival, or #IMFest2016, marked the beginning of Junto Music’s brand, and it was all coordinated by Milk Street Marketing. Brand activation is the process by which you introduce a new brand to an audience.
“Brand activation refers to generating consumer interest by allowing consumers to use a product or experience a service. In this way, the brand’s value is “activated,” or realized by the consumer, who then connects the value given with the brand and walks away with a strong impression.” – Small Business Chron.
On this episode we discussed our strategy forgetting the Junto Music brand out to all 100,000 people that attended the festival this weekend. With a combination of promo items, signage, printed handouts, and a street team scouring the festivities, Team Milk Street assured that this brand activation was successful.
Jamie Victor joined us in studio to recap #IMFest2016 and give us his take on the Junto Music brand activation. Not only is Jamie a musician who performed in 2 of the bands at the festival, but he is also a graphic designer with years of experience in branding. Jamie discussed some of his experiences building brands, designing logos, and everything in between.
The last segment of the show was all about recapping the Italian Market Festival. It was a successful 2-day weekend, and we couldn’t be happier with the way everything turned out.
This Week on Milk Street airs live every Monday at 1pm ET. Use #MilkPod to become part of the conversation at any time.
