Have you tried Layout, the new fun feature from Instagram?
Now, you can create really cool photo collages using their new peripheral app, “Layout”. You can choose from various collage layouts that include up to 9 pictures! Check out how we used it for the first time for Connie’s Ric Rac, a music venue located in South Philadelphia’s historic Italian Market.
Is Layout easy to use?
The two apps integrate seamlessly, as Instagram nailed it in regard to ease of use. The Faces feature allows you to quickly find your favorite people in your photo library. It’s actually fun arranging the photos, as you can drag and drop to create the initial layout, then zoom in and use only part of a photo, or size and rotate them. There’s also a mirror function that is pretty cool, and a photo booth for your impromptu selfies.
With this type of flexibility within the Instgram app, marketers can get very creative with your social media storytelling. At a time when content marketing is so critical, apps such as Layout that are integrated with the main social media marketing channels can have a huge impact for your brand. Just as Facebook’s new carousel feature allows you to deliver multiple marketing messages, Layout gives you the ability to engage your audience with photographic content that will more effectively get their attention. Furthermore, you probably have heard how much Instagram is blowing up, so it would best to incorporate it into your social media marketing strategy.
Or you could continue to post pictures of your lunch. Oh, and speaking of which, we heard someone call that a lunchie the other day and we just thought that was hysterical. So we’ll probably do a few lunchies on principle.
Thanks and happy holidays!
